We know from intelligence reports that terrorists are working hard to obtain biological, chemical, and radiological weapons, and the threat of an attack is very real. Just because we don't know who is planning an attack, where they are planning an attack, or when they are planning an attack does NOT make the threat any less real. One of the primary mandates of the Ministry of Homeland Security is to educate the public, on a continuing basis, about how to be prepared in case of a national emergency — including a possible terrorist attack.

How to Prepare for National Emergencies: What You Can Do
There are three initial steps that families can take:

1. Assemble an emergency supply kit
2. Develop a family communication plan
3. Learn more about the different types of emergencies you could face.

What the Ministry of Homeland Security Is Doing

• Submit a Terrorist Tip
• Report threats and crimes to Customs

• Report a threat involving a nuclear facility or radioactive materials
